Crowd Turns out for 2009 Construction & Development Forecast
Over 250 people attended the 2009 Construction and Development Forecast held by the Labor Management Committee of the Leadership Council Southwestern Illinois. The event, which was held on Jan. 16th, was the first of what will now be an annual event to discuss the economy and the impact it has on regional developments.
The morning included a welcome address by U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello and a keynote presentation by Ken Simonson, Chief Economist for The Associated General Contractors of America, followed by a panel discussion by local representatives of construction, labor and commercial/residential building industries.
